Electrical & Communications Development Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage the implementation of the Power Distribution (PD) and Communication related interfacing works for the railway extensions and other major asset renewal projects to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of the works, achieve timely completion, within the approved cost, and to the requirements set out in the design and specifications
• Coordinate all the PD & Communication related interfacing works and Closer Pre-ownership Arrangement (CPA) activities with Projects team on design, specification and implementation of the works as well as the maintenance requirements of the PD & Communication related new assets
• Act as the changeover manager to plan, organise, coordinate and implement all the track related changeover works and to prepare necessary contingency plans to enable the train service to recommence
• Assist in formulating the maintenance strategy and prepare the initial budget provision for the maintenance of the PD & Communication related new assets

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• A minimum of 8 years’ post-graduate experience, of which 3 years should be at supervisory level
• Possession of Corporate Membership of a recognised professional institution is preferred
• Solid practical knowledge of engineering design, maintenance and construction in the operating railway environment
• Strong analytical, decision making, communication and people management skills

Remarks

• Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms
• Candidates with strong interest in pursuing their career in infrastructure maintenance and development but with less experience will also be considered
